PROPRIETATILE FARMACOLOGICE
Este un dizaharid sintetic care, sub influenta florei intestinale, se transforma in acid acetic si acid lactic. Actioneaza ca laxativ osmotic si acidifica continutul intestinului gros atat direct, cat si prin favorizarea proliferarii lactobacililor. Creaza conditii pentru legarea amoniacului prin formare de saruri de amoniu si eliminarea lor cu scaunul. Inhiba proliferarea salmonelelor. Nu afecteaza absorbtia vitaminelor si nu provoaca toleranta. Nu se absoarbe din intestin.
INDICATII
Constipatiile cronice, encefalopatia hepatica, salmoneloza (cu exceptia formelor generalizate)- tulburarile digestive legate de procesele de putrefactie dupa intoxicatiile alimentare ale sugarilor si copiilor sub 10 ani.
Utilizare terapeutica: Ca laxativ, adulti 10-30 g/zi, copii 2,5-7,5 g/zi, dupa varsta. In encefalopatia hepatica 60-100 g/zi, divizata in 3 prize.
CONTRAINDICATII
Hipersensibilitatea la lactuloza, galactozemia.
INTERACTIUNI CU ALTE MEDICAMENTE
Alte laxative cresc riscul diareei. Neomicina creste riscul efectelor neurotoxice.
ATENTIONARI SI PRECAUTII SPECIALE DE UTILIZARE
Diabetul zaharat, in special in afectiunile inflamatorii ale colonului. In administrarea indelungata (peste 6 luni) se va controla kalemia, cloremia si concentratia bioxidului de carbon din sange.
