Actiune terapeutica
Vinpocetina are un efect neuroprotector, prin: Moderarea efectelor daunatoare ale reactiilor citotoxice produse de aminoacizi excitatori Inhibarea atat a canalelor de sodiu voltaj-dependente, cat si a receptorilor NMDA si AMPA. Potentarea efectului neuroprotector al adenozinei. Stimularea metabolismului cerebral, prin cresterea capacitatii de captare si consum de O2 si glucoza la nivelul tesutului cerebral. Marirea tolerantei la hipoxie cerebrala; vinpocetina deviaza metabolismul glucidic pe calea aeroba mai favorabila din punct de vedere energetic si creste nivelul AMPc al creierului. Marirea concentratiei de ATP si a raportului ATP/AMP.
Indicatii
In neurologie: Se recomanda in forme variate de tulburari ale circulatiei cerebrale: accidente vasculare cerebrale, stari post-AVC, dementa vasculara, arterioscleroza cerebrala, stari post-traumatice, encefalopatie hipertensiva, insuficienta circulatorie vertebrobazilara. De asemenea, medicamentul este recomandat pentru reducerea simptomelor psihice sau neurologice ale tulburarilor de circulatie cerebrala (tulburari de memorie, afazie, apraxie, tulburari de locomotie, vertij, cefalee etc.). In oftalmologie: Se recomanda in tratamentul tulburarilor vasculare cronice ale coroidei si ale retinei. In O.R.L.: Cavinton este recomandat in tratamentul presbiacuziei de tip perceptiv, tinnitusului. In ginecologie: Este recomandat pentru reducerea simptomelor vasovegetative ale sindromului climacteric.
Contraindicatii
Este contraindicat la femeile insarcinate sau in cazuri de alergie cunoscuta la vinpocetina.
Mod de administrare
Doza zilnica: 15-30 mg (3 x 1-2 tab.). Nu este necesara reducerea dozei la pacientii cu afectiuni renale. Se recomanda administrarea tabletelor dupa masa.
Interactiuni medicamentoase
Nu sunt cunoscute pana in prezent.
Precautii
A nu se lasa la indemana copiilor.
Sarcina si alaptare
Este contraindicata administrarea Cavinton in perioada de sarcina. Se recomanda evitarea administrarii medicamentului in perioada de alaptare, intrucat el se excreta in laptele uman si nu exista date certe referitoare la efectele lui asupra sugarilor.
Conditii de pastrare
La temperatura camerei (15 - 30 grade Celsius), ferit de lumina.
