Actiunea farmacologica: Antiinflamator nesteroidian din grupul oxicamilor. Are proprietati antiinflamatoare, analgezice si antipiretice pronuntate. Inlatura simptomele inflamatorii locale si sistemice de orice localizatie. Nu intervine in mecanismele termoreglatoare si nociceptive centrale.
INDICATII
Tratamentul simptomatic al artritei reumatoide, osteoartritei, artrozelor asociate cu sindrom algic.
DOZE SI MOD DE ADMINISTRARE
Cate 7,5 sau 15 mg o data pe zi, in functie de starea bolnavului, antecedente si toleranta. Doza de intretinere trebuie sa corespunda celei minime efective. In artrita reumatoida, initiala 15 mg/zi, de intretinere 7,5 mg/zi. In osteoartrita 7,5 mg/zi sau, daca e necesar, 15 mg/zi. In riscul reactiilor adverse 7,5 mg/zi. Doza maxima a meloxicamului este de 15 mg/zi. In insuficienta renala - 7,5 mg/zi.
CONTRAINDICATII
Hipersensibilitatea la preparat si la alte AINS, ulcerul peptic evolutiv, insuficienta renala severa (daca hemodializa este imposibila), varsta sub 15 ani, sarcina si lactatia.
ATENTIONARI SI PRECAUTII SPECIALE DE UTILIZARE
Pacientii cu boli gastro-intestinale in antecedente sau tratati cu anticoagulante si antiagregante. Meloxicamul este nefrotoxic indeosebi pentru pacientii cu insuficienta cardiaca congestiva, ciroza hepatica, sindrom nefrotic, boli renale severe, insuficienta renala cronica, hipovolemie sau care se trateaza cu diuretice. Se recomanda testarea functiilor renale inainte de a incepe tratamentul. La aparitia eozinofiliei, ulceratiilor gastro-intestinale sau a starilor alergice severe tratamentul trebuie suspendat.
